4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are
classified as follows:
a. First article inspection (see 4.3).
b. Conformance inspection (see 4.4).
4.2 Inspection conditions. Unless otherwise specified, all inspection shall be performed
in accordance with the test conditions specified in 4.5.
4.3 First article. When specified, a sample shall be subject to first article verification in
accordance to Table VI.
4.3.1 First article quantity. The first article sample shall consist of the assemblies,
components and test specimens listed below in Table VI.
