sides of the links in the next layer without hang-up or interference
between the projecting surfaces of the links in the two layers, No
hang-up or interference shall exist when the open sides pass over each
other

14 inches shall fail to fully or partially extract the gage bar from the
round retainer. (c) A gradually applied load of 80 lbs. shall not fully
extract the gage bar from the round retainer.
3.7.3
Pulling strength. When tested in accordance with
4.6.1.3.3, the links shall withstand a load of 250 pounds without fracture
and without permanent increase in belt pitch in excess of 0.010 inch.
3.7.4
Deformation of bridges. When tested in accordance with
4.6.1,3.4, the links shall withstand a load of 31 pounds without fracture
and without exceeding permanent set of 0.012 inch measured at the inner
forward edge of the round retainer.

Spring Tension of Connecting Loop. Links when tested
in accordance with 4.6.1.3.5, using a 12 pound load, shall retain sufficient
tension in the joint so that the longitudinal axis of the round retainer
does not rotate more than 2° from its original position prior to application
of the load.
